This is only the second Lou Castel western l have seen, and with great Arrow packages like this, l hope we receive more. This is a smart film, with a unique storyline and rich characterization a few notches above your standard European western. Castel plays it low key here, pulling you in as a viewer, as you try to understand his motives and true intentions throughout. Exceptional production values and a beautiful transfer here makes the film look as though it were shot this decade. Overall, RESQUIESCANT ranks as one of the craftiest and more involving of the Italian westerns, and certainly in league with Castel's other major classic, A BULLET FOR THE GENERAL. A five-star film worthy of your Saturday afternoon. AND a nifty recent interview with Castel featured in this package is a terrific supplement worthy of the retail price of the disc alone!
