I'd be the first to admit, the more family-friendly sequel to Conan the Barbarian, was a bit of a misstep, however, I also saw this movie for the first time when I was 13 years old and 13 year old me loved this as much as, if maybe not more than, the original. As an adult I can look back and recognize that this pales in comparison but in these trying times, who wants to be an adult? I must say, I had a fantastic time being transported back to a time when I had few worries and spent my days reading comics and Famous Monsters of Filmland and basically watching every genre film I could. Sure, maybe I'm being nostalgic but I had as much fun watching this again as I did all the times I watched it and rewatched it as a kid. Arrow has done an exemplary job here. The restoration is fantastic. The bonus features are both educational and entertaining and the written essays were as thought-provoking and informative as always. And of course, all housed within a beautiful package. A fantastic release and a worthwhile addition to any film library.
