Stranger Things: The Complete Series 4K UHD

As someone who loves physical media, I was excited to finally own Stranger Things on 4K. I picked up the standard edition instead of the deluxe, and honestly, I don’t regret it. The packaging is clean and sturdy. While it doesn’t come with the dice and other collectibles included in the deluxe edition, it still feels like a premium release. If your main goal is to own the series in the best possible quality rather than collect memorabilia, this version gets the job done. The biggest upgrade is the presentation. The 4K image is a noticeable improvement over streaming, with better detail, richer colors, deeper blacks, and the benefit of Dolby Vision. The audio is also impressive, especially in the later seasons with Dolby Atmos support, making the Upside Down and action scenes even more immersive. It’s also great to finally own the complete series on physical media. No worrying about streaming compression, internet issues, or the show disappearing from a service someday. Arrow also includes behind-the-scenes featurettes, cast interviews, bloopers, and other bonus content that make the set feel complete. The only downside is the price. Even the standard edition isn’t cheap, so it’s definitely an investment. But considering it’s the complete series in 4K with boutique-label treatment, I think it’s worth it for fans of the show and collectors. Overall Rating: 9.5/10 If you’re trying to decide between the standard and deluxe editions, I’d say the standard edition is the sweet spot. Unless you’re a hardcore collector who wants every extra, you’re getting the same incredible video and audio quality in a more affordable package.
