This film surprised the heck out of me. In a way, it acts like a bridge between The Addams Family and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Or, imagine if The X-Files "Home" episode was filled with the cast of The Munsters. It's schlocky, campy, and silly, but also disturbing, haunting, and intriguing. The Merrye family are a bizarro clan that are demented and delusional. The two sisters, have an air of deranged elegance to their characters a la Norman Desmond and Baby Jane. Watch this flick for an experience that'll sit with you for while, and stay for the bonus features that will delight! The Merrye family will be happy to host you.
