THESE ARE THE ARMIES OF THE NIGHT

In 1979, fresh from directing bare-knuckle boxing movie Hard Times and supercool crime thriller The Driver, Walter Hill delivered his third stone cold classic in a row: The Warriors, a slam-bang, visually kinetic action movie that mixed a heightened comic book sensibility with a timeless tale from ancient Greece and set them loose in the streets of modern America.

In New York the gangs outnumber the cops by 5-1. Together, they could rule the city. Gang-leader Cyrus has a dream to do just that and calls a summit. The gangs of New York gather in their thousands, Cyrus takes the stage. From somewhere in the crowd a shot rings out and Cyrus falls down dead. In the chaos that follows, a small gang from Coney Island - the Warriors - are blamed. Now everyone is out to get them. On foot, in enemy territory, can they make it through the night to get back across the city to the safety of home turf?

For all you boppers out there, for all you street people with an ear for the action... the iconic cult classic is back in a 4K remaster approved by director Walter Hill. Can you dig it?

Quality film vs poor reviews

Im only reviewing because the 1 star rating that was left is nonsense. The feature contains all the material listed and nothing less. It's a fantastic set and the petty 1 star review reflects the previous customer's poor attitude not the quality product. Nobody got ripped besides someone who JUST DECIDED that the set should have included more than it was said to contain. Its GOLD.

Stellar presentation for a great movie

Easily the best 4K that I own. Unbelievable picture and sound and both discs are crammed with quality content. The new supplements produced for this release are incredibly enlightening and Walter Chaw's commentary track is a mile-a-minute facts and insight. Top to bottom, a perfect release.

Double dipped and happy I did

This is a title I decided to double dip on because the Blu-ray looked so good, and I am extremely happy that I did. The only problem is that I don't need that Blu-ray copy anymore. The 4k copy is just absolutely amazing! I honestly would have never thought this movie could look as crisp and detailed as it does. This movie looks better than most 4ks produced this decade. The audio was a little lacking but for this being shot in 1979 I'm ok with it. Amazing movie, amazing transfer! 100% recommend this one.

The Warriors

I love this movie so getting the 4k version with this amazing artwork was a must. It also arrived a day earlier than expected, so that was a bonus.

Awesome transfer and great Limited Edition

Picture and audio quality are great! The transfer is stunning and very film like with a great hdr presentation. The contents of the Limited Edition are very nice as always with Arrow, but if you miss out on the LTD, the regular 4k is well worth purchasing.
